Netherlands Producer Price Inflation Eases as Oil Prices Moderate
Netherlands Producer Price Inflation Eases in June 2026 as Oil Costs Moderate
The Netherlands' producer price inflation slowed down to 4.4% year-over-year in June 2026, compared to a 5.9% increase in May 2026. This decrease was largely attributed to the moderation of oil prices, which had risen by over 20% compared to the same period last year.
The price of crude oil in June 2026 stood at over €73 per barrel, while it averaged nearly €89 per barrel in May 2026, representing a 56% increase from the previous year. The prices for petroleum derivatives also decreased by 27% year-over-year compared to the same period last year.
