New LNG Carrier Named for Diamond Global Energy

A new liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier, DIAMOND GAS NEXUS, was named by Diamond Global Energy's CEO Tetsuro Wada at a ceremony in South Korea on September 18. The vessel is chartered to DGE under a long-term contract and will primarily transport LNG for the Cameron LNG project in the United States.

The vessel is equipped with a WinGD dual-fuel engine, which can use both fuel oil and boil-off as fuel. It also features a sub-cooler that improves transportation efficiency and reduces environmental impact.

NYK, the ship's operator, manages the vessel under a ship-management framework.
