NG Energy Posts $8.50/Mcf Q1 Price as Colombian Gas Market Remains Tight
NG Energy International Corp (TSX:GASX) has achieved a blended natural gas price of US$8.50 per thousand cubic feet in Q1 2026, primarily due to long-term contracts at its Colombian blocks Maria Conchita and Sinú-9.
The company attributes the favourable pricing environment to a shortage of domestic gas supply, which has led to increased imports covering the gap. Management expects incremental volumes above contracted thresholds to be sold into the spot market at higher prices.
NG Energy's second-quarter results showed a slightly lower blended price of US$8.35/Mcf but higher production and revenue. The company's drilling program is ongoing, with four wells remaining in its six-well programme, including the Encantado well targeted to come on stream in November 2026.
