NGPL Outage Halts 500K Dth/d of East Texas Natural Gas Supply
Kinder Morgan's Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America (NGPL) has taken a stretch of its Gulf Coast mainline out of service for the second time this month, halting approximately 500,000 Dth/d of East Texas Haynesville Shale receipts.
The outage is affecting around 500,000 decatherms per day of natural gas supply in East Texas. This has caused local spot prices to firm up as a result of the reduced supply.
The NGPL TexOk premium over Katy has hit 19.5 cents, while the Henry Hub discount has narrowed by 40 cents.
