Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America LLC (NGPL) is seeking approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to expand its pipeline capacity in Texas by 550,000 Dth/d. The expansion aims to supply natural gas to a planned Google data center in the state's Panhandle region.

The new compression will add 321,200 Dth/d of capacity to the existing pipeline, while the current infrastructure covers 228,800 Dth/d. However, a Texas permit freeze has thrown a cloud over the project's timeline.

NGPL is relying on this expansion to meet the increasing demand for natural gas in the region. The company believes that the addition of new compression will enable it to transport more gas efficiently and effectively.
