Nigeria Aims to Hit 2.5 Million Bpd Oil Production Target Through New Investments and Tantita Security Services
Nigeria's oil production peaked at 2.5 million barrels per day (bpd) in November 2005, but subsequent years saw a decline despite post-Petroleum Industry Act investment efforts.
The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) is leading the push to revive dormant oil fields and unlock deepwater resources to hit the 2.5 million bpd goal.
Stakeholders attribute the success of this endeavor to the operations of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd (TSSNL), which has ensured the security of oil pipelines, reducing losses and increasing production.
