Nigeria Targets Three Million Barrels of Oil Production by 2030

The Federal Government of Nigeria has set a target to increase the country's crude oil production to three million barrels per day (bpd) by 2030.

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, tasked petroleum engineers and other industry professionals to support this drive during the inauguration of the sixth National Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Petroleum Engineers (NIPetE).

Lokpobiri emphasized that the administration of President Bola Tinubu remains committed to achieving energy sufficiency and has taken deliberate steps to expand oil production and develop necessary infrastructure.
