Nigeria's oil production rose by 0.4% in August to 1.68 million barrels per day, meeting its OPEC quota for the fourth consecutive month.

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) reported that crude oil and condensate production increased from 1,670,890 bpd in July to 1,677,777 bpd in August.

This modest improvement was attributed to the resolution of operational challenges at the Erha field, which had impacted production performance in the preceding month.

The NUPRC stated that stakeholders remained focused on enhancing asset reliability and improving operational resilience to support sustained production growth in the coming months.
