Nikkiso Wins Contract for German LNG Import Terminal Pumps
Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (Nikkiso CE&IG) has been contracted by CS Gas North to provide pumps for Germany's LNG import terminal in Brunsbüttel.
The German LNG Terminal, being built by German LNG Terminal GmbH, is scheduled to be operational in 2027 and will have the capacity to send 10 billion m3/yr of gas into Germany's national grid. The project includes two LNG tanks, each with a capacity of 165,000 m3, and is designed to enable the transition to even lower-carbon fuel alternatives like hydrogen in the future.
Ole Skatka-Jensen, Regional Vice President for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Nikkiso CE&IG, said: 'The German LNG Terminal is a crucial part of Germany's energy future thanks to the supply of LNG and green gases, as well as preparing for the future hydrogen economy.'
Nikkiso CE&IG will manufacture high-pressure, low-pressure, and ship-loading pumps for the project. This contract follows a similar one with CS Gas North S.L for the Hanseatic Energy Hub in Stade, where Nikkiso CE&IG is supplying 20 low-pressure and nine high-pressure pumps.
