Nigeria's liquefied natural gas (LNG) production is set to expand beyond the ongoing Train 7 project, as NLNG begins preliminary work on Trains 8, 9 and 10.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NLNG, Mr Adeleye Falade, announced that the company has started strategic discussions and technical assessments for the next phase of expansion. The goal is to consolidate Nigeria's position in the global LNG market and unlock greater value from the country's abundant gas resources.

NLNG has already generated more than $149.6 billion in revenue over the years, distributed almost $50 billion in dividends to shareholders, including the federal government, and paid about $10 billion in taxes while consistently receiving recognition as one of Nigeria's most tax-compliant companies.
