The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) and Chevron Nigeria Limited have strengthened their partnership to boost crude oil production from their joint venture in Nigeria.

A meeting between NNPC's Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, and a delegation of Chevron executives led by Mr. Jim Swartz discussed strategies to increase production output and accelerate development activities.

The discussion focused on advancing drilling programmes and other field development activities capable of supporting sustainable production growth.

The NNPC/CNL Joint Venture is an important component of Nigeria's upstream oil and gas operations, with efforts to boost production from its assets significant to the country's objective of increasing crude oil output and strengthening energy-sector revenues.
