Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has assured that the supply of liquefied petroleum (LP) gas in the market is regular and urged consumers to avoid panic buying.

The corporation made this announcement following reports of a gas shortage from some media outlets. However, NOC stated that it has been meeting daily demand since the implementation of the sales and distribution system for 14.2 kg capacity gas cylinders.

NOC instructed all gas companies to ensure smooth supply and prioritize domestic consumers during sales and distribution. The corporation also announced arrangements to sell and distribute cylinders through its Teku office in the Kathmandu Valley, starting August 1.
