Northern Oil and Gas Sees 9% Increase in Q2 Production Volumes Amid Permian Growth Challenges
Northern Oil and Gas (NOG) has reported its quarterly earnings for Q2 2026, showing significant growth in production volumes. The company's total production reached 145,659 barrels of oil equivalent per day, a 9% increase from the same period last year.
CEO Nick O'Grady noted that the company's growth engines in the Permian have been hampered by logistical problems involving infrastructure and takeaway capacity. However, he expressed optimism about the future, stating that the company's assets are worth '$7 billion plus, trapped in $4.6 billion enterprise value' according to internal estimates.
The company has also expanded its asset footprint through the closure of a joint development agreement in the Duvernay basin and maintained an active ground game strategy across the Appalachian and Williston basins.
