Northern Oil and Gas Sees 9% Production Growth in Q2 2026
Northern Oil and Gas reported a 9% increase in production during Q2 2026, reaching 145,659 Boe per day. This growth was led by natural gas production, which set a record at 464,330 Mcf per day, up 35% from the same period last year and 3.5% from Q1 2026.
The company generated $159.0 million in free cash flow during Q2 2026, a significant improvement from the previous quarter's figure of $38.8 million. This strong cash generation is a key focus for Northern Oil and Gas as it continues to invest in its operations and growth strategy.
In addition to its production growth, Northern Oil and Gas also completed a major joint development transaction with Duvernay Light Oil in June 2026, worth $262.1 million. The company has maintained its 2026 production guidance of 143,000 to 148,000 Boe per day and budgeted capital expenditures of $850 million to $900 million.
