NV Energy has filed a request with the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada to adjust rates for its natural gas customers, while simultaneously proposing lower costs for electric customers.

The rate adjustment is set to take effect on October 1 and reflects changes in fuel, purchased power, and natural gas supply costs, according to NV Energy.

If approved, the proposed rate change would result in a monthly decrease of around $1.86 for electric customers, while natural gas customers could see an increase of around $1.01 per month.
