NY Market Rebounds; Dow Up 195 Points as Gold Futures Surge
The New York market rebounded on the 19th from the previous day's sharp sell-off, with all three major indices advancing in tandem.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 194.90 points to 53,538.30, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 150.25 points to 26,439.96.
The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index bucked the trend, falling 170.73 points to 11,821.73, a 1.42% decline from the prior day.
Gold futures surged $129.40 to $4,550.20, a gain of 2.93%, while crude oil futures also firmed up $1.56 to $86.50.
