NYK-led Venture Names New LNG Vessel Greenergy River

A joint venture company led by NYK has named its new LNG vessel 'Greenergy River' in a ceremony held at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding in China.

The vessel is part of a series of six LNG carriers that will be deployed for CNOOC Group under the project, with the first one scheduled to start transporting LNG from August.

Greenergy River features a highly fuel-efficient dual-fuel engine that uses fuel oil and boil-off gas as fuel, contributing to reduced greenhouse gas emissions and lower environmental impact.
