NYMEX Posts Precious Metals Prices for August 24

The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) has released its precious metals prices for August 24. Gold futures have increased by 0.36% to $4640.80, while silver futures are down by 1.94% to $68.12. Platinum futures have dropped by 1.66% to $1864.30.

The measurement unit used is 1 troy ounce (31.1 grams). NYMEX, a US futures market founded in 1882, operates two divisions: the NYMEX Division and the COMEX Division. The former deals with trades of oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions. The latter handles gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
