NYMEX Precious Metals Plummet on September 28
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) reported lower prices for precious metals on September 28. According to NYMEX, gold futures declined by 3.63% to $4132.40 per troy ounce, while silver futures dropped by 4.34% to $61.22 per troy ounce. Platinum futures also fell, down by 4.78% to $1714.70 per troy ounce.
The NYMEX is a US futures market founded in 1882 and consists of two divisions: the NYMEX Division and the COMEX Division. The NYMEX Division trades oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions, while the COMEX Division focuses on gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
