NYMEX Precious Metals Prices Plummet on August 28
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) reported a decline in precious metals prices on August 28. The price of gold futures fell by 2.60% to $4478.10, while silver futures dropped by 2.56% to $67.00. Platinum futures also saw a decrease of 0.93% to $1833.50.
The measurement unit for these prices is 1 troy ounce (31.1 grams). NYMEX has two divisions: the NYMEX Division, which handles trades in oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions; and the COMEX Division, responsible for gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
