NYMEX Precious Metals Prices Plummet September 14
On September 14, precious metals prices took a hit on the NYMEX (New York Merchantile Exchange). Gold futures fell by 1.57% to $4310.00 per troy ounce, while silver futures dropped by 1.17% to $63.51. Platinum futures also declined by 1.36% to $1779.10.
The NYMEX is a US futures market founded in 1882 and operates through two divisions: the NYMEX Division and the COMEX Division. The former deals with oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions, while the latter handles gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
