NYMEX Precious Metals Prices See Mixed Results on August 24th
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) has released its precious metals prices for August 24th. Gold futures are up by 0.36% to $4640.80, while silver futures have dropped by 1.94% to $68.12. Platinum futures also experienced a decline of 1.66% to $1864.30.
The measurement unit for these prices is 1 troy ounce (31.1 grams). NYMEX has been in operation since 1882 and consists of two divisions: the NYMEX Division, which handles trades in oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions; and the COMEX Division, which focuses on gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
