NYMEX Precious Metals Prices Surge and Decline on August 12
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) has released its precious metals prices for August 12. The price of gold futures saw a slight increase, rising by 0.09% to $4410.50 per troy ounce. Silver futures also rose, with a gain of 1.22% to $65.56 per troy ounce.
On the other hand, platinum futures declined by 0.64% to $1753.70 per troy ounce (31.1 grams). The NYMEX is a US futures market founded in 1882 and operates two divisions: the NYMEX Division for oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions; and the COMEX Division for gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
