NYMEX Reports Declines in Gold, Silver, Platinum Prices on August 18
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) reported a decline in precious metals prices on August 18. The NYMEX is a US futures market founded in 1882, with two divisions: the NYMEX Division for oil and gas derivatives, and the COMEX Division for metals like gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
In its latest update, NYMEX revealed that the price of gold futures had dropped by 1.11% to $4347.50 per troy ounce (31.1 grams). Silver futures also fell by 3.30% to $63.94, while platinum futures declined by 1.95% to $1727.70.
