NYMEX Reports Precious Metals Prices for September 29
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) has reported precious metals prices for September 29. Gold futures are up by 1.09% to $4177.60 per troy ounce, while silver futures have dropped by 0.90% to $60.67 per troy ounce. Platinum futures, however, are up by 0.27% to $1719.30.
The NYMEX is a US futures market founded in 1882 and operates through two divisions: the NYMEX Division and the COMEX Division. The former handles trades of oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions, while the latter focuses on gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
The measurement unit for these prices is 1 troy ounce (31.1 grams). NYMEX's current structure reflects its long history in the industry.
