NYMEX Sees Gold Rise Amid Silver Decline
The New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEX) has released its precious metals prices for September 29. According to NYMEX, gold futures have seen a significant increase of 1.09% to $4177.60 per troy ounce. In contrast, silver futures have declined by 0.90% to $60.67. Platinum futures have also experienced a modest gain of 0.27% to $1719.30.
The NYMEX is a US futures market founded in 1882 and operates two divisions: the NYMEX Division, which handles trades of oil, gas, platinum, palladium, ethanol, coal, electricity, and carbon dioxide emissions; and the COMEX Division, which focuses on gold, silver, copper, and aluminum.
