NYSERDA Weekly Energy Report: Crude Oil Spot Prices Rise Amid Global Market Uncertainties
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has released its weekly energy report for July 24, 2026. The report highlights that global market influences include the Iran war, the Russian-Ukraine war, world petroleum demand, U.S. trade policies, and related geopolitical uncertainties.
The spot price movements show that West Texas Intermediate (WTI) and Brent crude oil spot prices both rose compared to the prior week. Propane spot prices at Mt. Belvieu increased, while natural gas spot prices at Henry Hub remained relatively stable week over week.
The regional fuel inventories posted slight increases in natural gas and ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) inventories. However, propane and total gasoline inventories declined over the same period.
