October natural gas futures prices eased on Monday as restored Appalachian supply and fading shoulder season demand weighed on the market.

The front of the curve was affected by these factors, with prices rolling off the board at $3.

The return of pipeline flows from Mountaineer XPress helped to rebuild supplies in the region after an outage.

As a result, power burn demand also began to fade as the shoulder season comes to an end.
