Ogoni Dialogue Committee Seeks to Bring Region Back into National Development

The Ogoni Dialogue Committee (ODC) aims to bring the Ogoni people back into the mainstream of national development, according to its Chairman, Prof. Don Baridam.

In a statement, Baridam explained that the ultimate goal is to facilitate the resumption of oil production in the Niger Delta region.

The committee has collated the views of the Ogoni people into an official report, which includes their demands, concerns, and aspirations. This report was submitted to the Federal Government for action.

Baridam warned against mischief makers issuing false statements about the committee's work, stating that they have consulted widely with the views of the people involved.
