Oil Field Veteran Ron Pelletier Passes Away at 75

Ronald 'Ron' Eugene Pelletier, a 75-year-old oil field worker from Red Deer, Alberta, passed away on July 29, 2026, surrounded by his family at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. Born on January 8, 1951, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Ron grew up on a farm in Victoire and later moved to Alberta for work.

He had a long and successful career in the oil field, where he worked hard and played hard. In his retirement, Ron enjoyed spending time at his cabin at Buck Lake during the summers and in Black Meadow Landing on Lake Havesau during the winters as a snowbird.

Ron leaves behind an amazing legacy, including his wife Brenda Pelletier, children Justin (Sally), Marilyn, Laura (Steve), and Eugene (Marci), grandchildren Kirk, Kylie, Dominic, Tyera, Skylar, Devyn, and Brandon, and great-granddaughter Lennyn.
