Oil India Targets 4 Million Metric Tonnes of Crude Oil Production This Year
Oil India Limited (OIL) is aiming to reach 4 million metric tonnes of crude oil production this year, according to Chairman and Managing Director Ranjit Rath.
Rath stated that OIL's current crude oil production stands at about 86,000 barrels per day, with an 11 percent year-on-year growth in the first quarter of FY27.
The company is working to increase its crude oil production through exploration, drilling, and production enhancement efforts.
OIL also targets increasing its combined oil and gas production significantly by 2030, aiming for 10 million metric tons of oil and equivalent.
In addition to expanding its refining capacity at Numaligarh, the company is looking to increase natural gas production with additional evacuation capacity becoming available.
