Oil Price Surge Sends U.S. Stocks Lower as Market Awaits Iran Deal
Oil prices surged Monday, causing pressure in the U.S. bond market and sending stocks lower.
The S&P 500 fell 0.4% as it gave back some of its gains from last week, which brought it to the brink of its all-time high.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 274 points, or 0.5%, while the Nasdaq composite was 0.5% lower.
Nvidia shares climbed 3% after announcing a $150 billion stock buyback plan, but this gain couldn't offset losses in other sectors.
