Oil Price Volatility Weighs on Global Markets Amid Hawkish Central Banks
Global shares were trading mixed on Monday after a cooldown in oil prices last week helped U.S. stocks close out their first winning week in three.
The CAC 40 in France edged up 0.3% to 8,097.99, while the German DAX added 0.2% to 25,464.53. Britain's FTSE 100 rose 0.3% to 10,725.57.
However, U.S. shares were set to drift lower with Dow futures dipped 0.3% to 51,992.00 and S&P 500 futures shed 0.4% to 7,770.75.
In contrast, Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 declined 0.7% to finish at 65,877.62.
