Oil prices climb on Middle East supply concerns
Oil prices saw an upward trend on Monday, with Brent crude futures rising by 81 cents, or 0.79%, to reach $103.06 per barrel by 2202 GMT. Similarly, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures climbed 46 cents, or 0.50%, to $91.57 a barrel.
The increase in prices was driven by renewed concerns over potential disruptions to Middle East oil supplies. This geopolitical uncertainty has contributed to the recent gains in the oil market.
