Oil Prices Dip Below $105 as Global Economic Concerns Mount
Oil prices dropped by about 1% at settlement on Thursday but remained above $100 per barrel. Brent crude futures fell by $1.01, or 0.95%, to settle at $104.82 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures declined by 52 cents, or 0.5%, to $101.91 per barrel.
Both contracts had dropped by approximately three dollars on Wednesday, indicating a slight recovery in the oil market. The decline was modest compared to previous days, but it still reflects ongoing concerns about global economic growth and demand for oil.
