Oil Prices Drop in Early Monday Trading

On October 5, 2026, oil prices for benchmark grades saw a decline during Monday’s trading session. At the ICE Futures exchange, December’s Brent crude futures dropped by $0.73, or 0.71%, to $101.52 per barrel as of 09:20. This follows a slight decrease of $0.06, or 0.06%, from the previous trading session on October 2, where the contract closed at $102.25 per barrel.

Meanwhile, on the NYMEX stock exchange, November’s WTI crude futures fell by $1.14, or 1.25%, to $89.97 per barrel by 09:20. This contract had already declined by $1.76, or 1.90%, from the trading on October 2, ending at $91.11 per barrel.
