Oil Prices Extend Slide Amid US-Iran Conflict Pause
Oil prices continued to slide on Tuesday as the pause in US-Iran conflict held.
Brent crude futures dropped 1 percent to $87.49, while US West Texas Intermediate fell 1 percent to $81.80 a barrel by 04:24 GMT.
The decline comes after prices plummeted almost 8 percent on Monday following the Houthi Red Sea blockade.
US President Donald Trump stated that negotiations with Iran were ongoing and could resolve the conflict, but warned strikes would resume if talks failed.
