Oil Prices Fall Amid Ongoing Middle East Conflict
Stocks on Wall Street have edged higher despite heavy fighting in the Middle East threatening to slow global oil production. The S&P 500 rose by a mere 0.1% early Friday morning, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 62 points.
The Nasdaq composite slipped 0.1%, but all three indexes are still on track to finish the week lower. This comes after Brent crude oil prices fell for the first time in a week, dropping by 2.6% from $102 per barrel just a day earlier.
