Oil Prices Fall as Wall Street Nears Record High
Wall Street held near its record high on Tuesday despite Brent oil prices falling below $100 per barrel.
The S&P 500 rose 0.1% and was sitting 0.4% below its all-time high set last month, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 168 points or 0.3%
A number of companies reported strong profit reports, including AutoZone which saw a 6.1% rise in stock price after beating earnings expectations.
Thor Industries also rose 5.1%, despite CEO Bob Martin stating that expensive fuel and high inflation were continuing to impact its customers' budgets
The Federal Reserve's interest rate hike last week has been weighing on banks, with JPMorgan Chase down 3.1%.
