Oil Prices Fuel ExxonMobil's Growth Amid Energy Giant Surge
Oil prices have been above $90 per barrel for West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude, according to Oilprice.com. This favorable pricing environment supports ExxonMobil Holdings Corporation's exploration and production activities, which generate most of its earnings.
XOM has a significant presence in the Permian, the US's most prolific oil and gas play, where it uses new drilling techniques and artificial intelligence to boost production volumes at lower costs. The company also has multiple discoveries in Guyana, highlighting its solid production outlook.
Other energy giants, including Chevron Corporation (CVX) and ConocoPhillips (COP), will benefit from the ongoing strength in oil prices. COP generates a significant proportion of its revenues from crude oil, while CVX is experiencing growth in production volumes due to its Permian footprint.
