Oil Prices Hold Firm Above $100 Amid Middle East Supply Worries
Oil prices remained above $100 per barrel on Monday, with Brent crude futures rising by 81 cents or 0.78% to $104.68 per barrel by 22:02 GMT, according to Qazinform News Agency citing WAM.
The increase in oil prices is due to growing concerns over global supply, particularly in the Middle East where recent disruptions to key energy infrastructure and shipping routes have added to uncertainty in international oil markets.
US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures also gained, increasing by 76 cents or 0.76% to $101.06 per barrel.
