Oil prices rose over one percent on Monday in early Asian trading.
Brent crude futures gained US$1.82, or 1.74 percent, to $106.14 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose $1.14, or 1.23 percent, to US$93.55 a barrel.
The prices have remained volatile in recent sessions amid persistent concerns over possible disruptions to energy supplies from the Middle East.
