Oil prices fell in early Asian trading on Thursday after rising by about 4 percent in the previous session. Brent crude futures dropped 94 cents, or 0.9 percent, to US$102.13 a barrel.

West Texas Intermediate futures also eased, falling 59 cents, or 0.7 percent, to US$91.56 a barrel.

The decrease in oil prices comes as investors and traders are closely watching the global economic situation and its impact on energy demand.
