Oil Prices Slide to Sixth Straight Day of Losses
Oil prices continued their downward trend on Wednesday, dipping by about 1% to $98.30 for Brent Crude and falling below the $90-a-barrel threshold for WTI Crude at $89.49.
This marks the sixth consecutive day of losses for oil prices, a streak not seen since August 2025.
The market is welcoming news about U.S.-Iran talks on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, which could lead to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and recovery of oil flows from the Middle East.
U.S. President Donald Trump said that U.S. and Iranian representatives had a 'very good meeting' and are scheduled for another one soon.
