Oil Prices Soar on Middle East Tensions and Supply Concerns

Oil prices surged more than 2% in early trading on Monday. Brent crude futures rose $2.22, or 2.52%, to $90.32 a barrel.

US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude stood at $85.41 a barrel, up $2.01, or 2.41%. The gains were driven by concerns over potential supply disruptions in the Middle East and uncertainty surrounding oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz.
