Oil Prices Steady Amid US Military Presence Plans in Middle East
Oil prices were steady on Friday after jumping in the previous session due to concerns over a wider Middle East conflict.
The US is considering sending additional military assets to the region amid its war with Iran, according to reports.
Futures expiring in December edged up 0.2% to $102.55 per barrel, while those for January rose 0.1% to $92.92 per barrel.
The gains came after a Wall Street Journal report that Washington was weighing the deployment of another aircraft carrier group and additional troops to the Middle East.
