Oil Prices Stumble Amid Ongoing Middle East Tensions
Oil prices have begun to decline and are on track to end their two-week winning streak despite rising tensions in the Middle East. According to Reuters, Brent crude futures fell by $0.60, or 0.67 percent, to $89.10 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate crude futures dropped by $0.64, or 0.77 percent, to $82.89. This decline comes after a report that US President Donald Trump is not keen on returning to the terms of the previous agreement with Iran.
The prices had risen at the previous session's settlement following this report, but the current trend suggests a reversal. The Middle East tensions have been a major factor in oil price fluctuations in recent weeks, and it remains to be seen whether they will continue to impact the market.
