Oil Prices Top $100 Per Barrel Amid Iran-US Tensions
Oil prices have surged past $100 per barrel for the first time since July as tensions between Iran and the US continue to escalate.
The price of Brent crude oil, a global benchmark, rose by approximately 2.7% on Wednesday, reaching $100.57 per barrel for contracts with November deliveries.
In response to the US Central Command's statement that it destroyed five Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps oil tankers, the IRGC issued a warning advising all oil tankers in Kuwaiti and Bahraini waters to evacuate.
