Omai Gold Project Estimated to Deliver $4B Net Present Value Over 18 Years
Omai Gold Mines Corp., a company involved in gold exploration and development, has announced a Preliminary Economic Assessment for its Omai Gold Project in Guyana. The assessment projects significant gold production over 18 years, with an estimated $4 billion after-tax net present value at a gold price of $3,600 per ounce.
The project involves open pit and underground mining, with an average annual production of 351,488 ounces. According to the assessment, the project has a 24% internal rate of return. Initial capital costs are estimated at $1.427 billion, with sustaining capital of $928 million.
Omai Gold Mines Corp. plans to advance towards a feasibility study and eventual production, supported by ongoing drilling and infrastructure development. This positive assessment is a significant step forward for the company and its stakeholders.
