Oman Navy Rescues Crew Members from Attacked Saudi Tanker
Oman's navy has revealed that it rescued 16 crew members from a Saudi-flagged oil tanker, the SIDR, after it was attacked by Iran in the Strait of Hormuz.
The incident occurred six months into the ongoing conflict between the US and Iran, with fresh violence flaring up earlier this week.
The Royal Navy of Oman provided logistical support to the tanker's crew, evacuating 16 members while ensuring they received necessary medical care.
Unfortunately, two seamen on board were killed in the attack, according to Saudi Arabia's national shipping firm. The company confirmed that two Filipino sailors died when the tanker was struck in the Strait of Hormuz.
